Disregard what Scott said. What he said only applies if you are trying to limit the carbohydrates in your diet.
You didn't say that.
Whole wheat pasta is HEALTHY to eat while trying to limit caloric intake and it's the HEALTHIEST way to eat pasta if you are trying to cut down on carbohydrates.
Here's why:
Dietary fiber. Your body needs it in order to digest properly. Dietary fiber (especially the type rich in WWpasta) makes you feel full.
It also PREVENTS colon cancer.
Did I mention that it will make you feel good?
This is not hype, this is medical fact.
Dietary fiber is undigestible ergo unusable calories.
The 'carb load' may be high, but you have to subtract the fiber grams from the total carbohydrates.
Perhaps I should mention that eating enough fiber helps regulate your blood sugar and helps prevent diabetes II.
Just be sure to drink enough water. If you are dehydrated it will bind your intestines.
Eating enough fiber (26g) ALSO prevents 98% of constipation.
