Works for any five consecutive integers.

10, 11, 12, 13, 14 = 60 . Half of 12 is 6, * 10 = 60.

In general we have:

Half the middle number * 10 is the equivalent of saying the middle number * 5.

Consider five consecutive numbers:
(n-2) + (n+1) + n + (n+1) + n +2 = 5n

How many 'consecutive numbers ?'

Sum is n + (n + 1) + (n + 2) = 10(n + 1)/2
3n + 3 = 5n + 5
2n = -2
n = -1
So the three consecutive numbers are -1,0,1.
