In need of social advice, 3rd post, really need a clear answer.?

There are a few things that happened to me recently, a couple of weeks ago. so I moved to the UK, and went to college. I've been treated very well actually from first day everyone was very nice to me. Yet, I am still struggling to make friends, I don't blame the people here, since I know I have weak social skills, given the fact that I was only able to make 2 friends in 10 years living in Jordan, however people in Jordan aren't as nice as in here. So I am looking to change that. Currently I barely talk to anyone and when I do I only talk to girls, btw I hardly ever spoke to a girl in Jordan. For the boys, they only say Hi and ask me a question maybe and just leave no one really talks much to me. Now I know I said that I am talking to girls, but I'm not showing any interest in any of those who talk to me, most of them are much older, and find me as a younger friend, others are too friendly, and I wouldn't want to lose friends for interest. However, there is one really cute and quiet girl, I like how she's quite shy and awkwardly quiet, pretty much similar to me. The girl and I haven't met yet and barely know each other's names, she doesn't seem to talk to boys, Infacts I never seen her do so, and has only a few close friends.
So now you know my story, can you answer my questions deeply.
1) How may I secure more friends?
2) How may I show my gratefulness to the ladies who helped me around school?
3) How may I intruduce myself to this beautiful girl I told you about?
