Someone took the room we agreed would be mine in privately rented house by srudents.?
I just moved into a new house and signed a contract with 4 other tenants. I signed the contract based on advertiseing and viewing of the house given to me by a tennant.
We agreed on what room i would live in and after that i went payed all the agency fee and deposit and stuff.
Now when i move into the house, someone else has taken my room and they decide to allocate me a diffrent one. A **** one.
I have transcript of all our conversation in which we agreed to this.
Do i have any legal means of getting what i want, or sueing them for misleading me. Or should I just throw the current girls **** out of my room. If there os no legal reprocussion, i dont mind doing that.
please help.

You rented a room in a house, not one particular room.
First come, first served, you should have got there with your stuff earlier.
No you cannot sue, try throwing them out and you will be sued for assault.
If you have proof on paper that a certain room is yours, and paid for, then claim it.
Tell them they have made a mistake and moved into the wrong room.Show them
your proof.
If you used a visa or check stop payment and find another living situation. There was no meeting of the minds. Give notice of moving out and breaking of the lease due to estopple or fraud. Performing these actions withing 72 hours or as soon as possible is key.
is there a way of identifying this room, is there a number, or designation that makes it unique from the others and was this annotated in your signed agreement
if not, no you can't prove which one was to be yours without something identifying it that can be documented
Unless your lease specifies that room as yours, you're probably out of luck
Did you have any confirmation of this in writing?
You have no legal basis. You have no ability to touch her stuff.
