What is the relationship between the maximum value, minimum value, mid line, and amplitude of a periodic function?

The amplitude is 1/2 the difference between the maximum and minimum values; the mid line is the average of the maximum and minimum values, so the amplitude is also the different between the mid line and either of the extreme (max, min) values.
