So I met this freshman girl at my college about a week ago during the first week of classes. She seems kinda shy, a little clumsy, but very involved in school. We hung out with some friends...later came back to my place. We text back and forth, but she's never too quick to respond.
Now one week later, she hardly texts back at all. If she does, the quickest she'll respond is one full day lol. Otherwise, she won't respond until I initiate more contact.
My question is, what is up with her, and does this mean anything in terms of attraction, etc.?

No. You are thinking too much.She is shy and might be thinking that replying instantly would mean, she is desperate or She doesnt like you at all & feels if she replies more you would ask for more.
Any which ways, stop talking to her, if she initiates talk, she likes you or else understand, she was trying to avoid you, as she doesnt like you at all.

She likes you, she just doesn't like you 'that' way.
Don't despair, don't write her off and don't keep pretending that the dreaded friend zone is a bad thing. Women aren't just known for changing their minds, they're absolutely famous for doing it. A girl can change her mind any hour of any day, and it usually happens without warning and always without any logical reason. If she liked you enough to text you last week, she just might like you enough to unbutton for you next week. Or she might not, it's all up to the mighty and whimsical luck gods.
And really, don't believe what you've heard about the friend zone. I've dated, fallen in love with and just plain slept with never mind how many girls, and I've noticed a very distinct pattern. The girls who were friends first (including my wife of 16 years) are still friends or at least on friendly terms to this day. The girls who weren't friends first were all total nightmares from start to finish. And since I stopped counting after thirty, that can't just be random coincidence.

It sounds like she's just not interested. Sorry. If she doesn't text you often and if she doesn't text you much, she's not interested.
