You can't invest in a pension. Employers do that. As the others have written, saving for retirement is done over the course of a career, not near its conclusion.
That ship sailed long ago.
"Nearing" your Retirement? How much money do you anticipate earning between now & the day you had hoped to retire? If you save 100% of it, will it be enough to live on for the rest of your life?
The time to start saving for your retirement needs was forty years ago, Cap'n.....
Look at a ROTH or conventional IRA account. You should have done this 30 years ago.
How much close to your retirement? If you are in 40 then you need to save 200 pound for 20 years from 45 to 65 ages.
How many years are you left with before retirement? How much money would you like to invest yearly in the plan? I guess you should check out Aviva products. It has some of the best pension plans in India and they can be customised as per you needs as well.
Doesn't work that way. Put in as much as you can into savings for the time you have left, , but if you're nearing retirement and haven't been saving all along, it's going 'to be a pretty spartan retirement since you won't have much saved.
You can't invest in a pension plan, per se. If you have money, you can invest in the stock market, which is roughly how a pension plan is invested. Or, you could purchase an annuity: you give up a lump sum of money in exchange for regular payments over either a set period of time or over your lifetime.
