m1= 2, m2=1/2 where m1 slope of P,m2 slope of Q
m1m2=2(1/2)=1 not equal to - 1
so they are not perpindicular

the rule is perpendicular when m is the slope of one line, and -1/m is the slope of the other

p and q are NOT perpendicular. In order for p ⊥ q, the slope of q would have to be the negative reciprocal of the slope of p.

slope of p is m = 2
slope of q is m = 1/2

q would have to have slope = -1/2 to be perpendicular to p.
