My ears at a 14mm. I'm going into nursing and they can be funny about piercings and I was wondering if they would ever shrink back down to normal?

Generally, if you have gone above a 12 mm g, it is unlikely that you will experience much shrinkage. This is because stretching your ears involves (surprise, surprise) stretching--you stretch the tissue of your ear and then allow it to heal. Also, if blowouts, tearing or infections have occurred scar tissue builds up which can make it even more unlikely the ear lobes can shrink back to normal once they were stretched. Of course, everyone's body is different.

Go in reverse order, wearing smaller sizes until they begin to feel snug, then a size smaller. Keep them very clean, but don't let the skin get dried out. Use oils like Jojoba oil or Vitamin E oil. These oils have the best chance in repairing the scar tissue caused by stretching and speed up the healing process.

If you stretched slowly and properly, they will eventually shrink down, but at that large you will need to have them stitched up eventually. The sooner you take out the jewelry and begin letting them shrink naturally the better.
