太陽做完了竟日普照的事業，在萬物送別他的時候，他還顯出十分的壯麗。他披上紅袍，光耀萬丈，雲霞布陣，換起與主將一色的制服，聽候號令。盡天所覆的大圓鏡上，鼓起微波，遠近同壹節奏的輕舞，以歌頌他的功德，以惋惜他的離去。
景物忽然變動了，雲霞移轉，歌舞緊急，我戰戰兢兢的凝視，看宇宙間將有何種變化。太陽驟然躲入壹塊紫雲後面了。海面失色，立即轉爲幽暗，彩雲驚懼，屏足不敢喘息。金線萬條，透射雲際，使人領受最後的恩惠，然而他又出來了。他之藏匿是欲緩和人們在他去後的相思的。
我俯首看自己，見是照得滿身光彩。正在欣幸而慚愧，回頭看見我的背影，從船上投射海中，眼光跟了他過去，在無盡遠處，窺見紫帏後的圓月，豈敢信他是我的影迎來的！
