Costume issue?

I'm 16 and am going to a friends costume party and I'm going as batman only there one slight issue , the costume fits fine however there is a gap between the costume chest and mines I've thought maybe I should put a pillow in between to make it less flat ? However I'm open to any other suggestions ?

spray on starch for ears?
thin layer of foam rubber on your chest or maybe a jumper underneath
