Have a singer 2802 c heavy duty sewing machine, what type of needles can I use? And which one is good for thick fabric/projects?

It doesn't need any special needle. Any sewing machine needle at JoAnn fabrics will suit. Look for a denim needle for heavier fabric.

If it's a normal sewing machine, go to your local fabric store and check out the Singer needles. They will have a good selection. You'll want a heavier needle for heavier fabric. A size 12 or 14 is good for that.
