Why are the police threatening to strike if action is not taken against a black guy that did not stand for the anthem?

The police actually don't care if somebody refuses to stand for the Anthem. A lot of people do, especially at a football game. But there is nothing illegal about it.
What bothers them is that he went on a rant about how evil the police are, how racist they are, etc. This was very much in public. And some others on the team have joined him.
Now, the police are being asked to keep the players and fans safe, while the players are stirring up hostility to the police, which could result in putting those same police in danger. Does this make sense?
I'm thinking that the team should hire its own security guards, if the players don't trust the police anyway.

No strike, just the statement that San Francisco Public Safety won't waste its resources on a Football team that tolerates disrespect for the very thing Law Enforcement puts life on the line to defend....the Flag as the symbol.

They are sensitive and their feelings are hurt easily.
