LGBT: Do you think we should make up a new word for those who hate homosexuality?

I'm sick of petty arguments about the meaning of the word 'phobia'. I was thinking maybe we should make a new word that basically ends those arguments.

Since the prefix for hatred is miso (as in, misogynist and misandrist for instance), why not make a word such as misohomist (following the logic of miso words)?

That sounds like some kind of Japanese soup. We can stick to using 'homophobe'. Everyone who matters already knows what it means, and if the homophobes want to play their futile little word games, then let them. They only make fools of themselves every time they try it.

We're not homophobic. Just fighting for the right to be straight in this corrupt world. We need a straight pride.

The suffix -phobic is used in all sorts of contexts, for instance hydrophobia is another word for rabies and hydrophobic substances are those which repel water, such as wax. People who object to the word "homophobia" on that basis need to put it in context and see how the ending is used in other contexts.
