Can you be traumatized by a dream?

So I've had two dreams so far that have resulted in me waking up in complete terror. Ever since the first dream, a year ago, I've had anxiety issues and went through a phase where I would have multiple panic attacks everyday. In both dreams I was shot and/or stabbed by a crazy killer psychopath, in the same place. I woke up and I couldn't breathe. I wouldn't say that I've experienced any traumatic experiences in real life, and I don't really know where these dreams are coming from. Help? I don't know what's wrong with me
更新1:

I meant I was shot in the same place on my body, on the bottom of my ribcage.

If you are actually feeling panic attacks during the daytime, after these dreams, then it is a physical problem and should be helped by an MD. You can re-enter your question into the HEALTH section of Yahoo Answers

From my point of view, after reading these anxiety producing dreams, I would ask you, do you play these violent video games? Do you do anything which would trigger such strong reactions in yourself? If not, you said nothing major happened to you while growing up, so you don't know why you are feeling such terror in your dreams. Well something is causing these violent dreams, so make a great effort to search out the reason for the reaction. Keep a log of your dreams. Go at this with hook, line and sinker, and don't let go until you have your answer. Record them in a dream journal.....Some things will start to reappear, and then someone like me, or I will be able to put the pieces back together and make sense of them. You do not give enough information right now to answer your question well. Good luck to you.

Usually dreams are just your subconscious trying to solve a problem. The problem is that it communicates completely differently than your conscious mind, so any sort of dream interpretation is bogus.

Usually, if I have a dream about something like that, it's because I am actually experiencing physical pain, and my subconscious is just trying to fit my real pain into my dream.

Odds are that you had some sort of intestinal distress and your dream fit it in by having you get shot to explain the pain.
