The IRS NEVER calls demanding money. They ALWAYS use the mail as the first means of communication. They NEVER threaten you with calling the cops or arrest. They NEVER demand payment. They NEVER demand payment via Green Dot, Wal-Mart money cards or iTunes gift cards. Just hang up without saying a word.

No, it's a scam. Read the IRS warning on their website and report it to the number they liston the site

That's a scam. When the IRS wants to get in touch with you, they send a letter.

The call was from a scam artist.

What to do? Tell them to "F#ck off!!!"

The IRS does not handle people 's debts by calling them. Someone has threatened you with extortion. Go and file a police report. Ask them if they will set up the person who called you in order to catch him.

No. Also, they will not call the cops. If someone calls saying you owe money, it means that they are not the IRS.

If they call back, then you do what you should have done the first time: Hang up the phone.

You do not pay them anything, because they are not the IRS. And you do not listen to anything they say on the phone, because it isn't true.

There are two words that describes calls like that. The first is bull. If you did owe money AND the account was assigned to someone in a local field office you would be notified first by mail. Any phone contacts would be with someone who had already introduced them self to you.

Ignore the calls. It is a scam.

If the IRS has an issue, they send letters.

They don't work that way, they send you a letter. If someone called, it's a scammer. That's a very common scam.

It wad not the IRS. The IRS informs you by letter if there is a problem.

Well they can call you...but this has all the earmarks of a scam.

The IRS would never call the "cops"

If you owed money to the IRS, they would have sent you a number of letters before there was a call.

So, do you owe that $7,000? If not than just forget about it.

spam, spam, SPAM
IRS DOES NOT call you, unless you are in a pre arranged arrangement with them

They never, ever call.

look up gullible in the dictionary and then think about how it applies to you

NO. The IRS sends letters only....they do NOT have your phone number.
If someone is calling you, claiming to be from the IRS....it is a SCAM!
