I am in my 70's and I start new things all the time. When I was 50 I moved 3 states away from my home and started a new life. Never sorry about that.

It's probably too old to become a concert pianist or try out for the Olympics, but other things, it's not too old for. I'm in my 50s and still trying new things and starting a new business, thinking about going back to school.

No way is 40 too late to start anything. My sister is always saying 'you'll never amount to anything, you big lazy doofus' but I always show her. I've crafted an entire Gorean sim on Second Life. Hopefully, when she marries one of these guys she brings home on weekends, she'll move out and I'll have her room, which is bigger, and handy for the bathroom. I can't wait. I've started a new geode collection (you can get different ones cheap off the internet) and have a lot of comics which need alphabetising, and an extensive figurine collection, so her closets will be ideal. I often suggest her marrying and moving out, but she always flies off the handle whenever I mention her biological clock and starts yelling and then has a massive sulk, so maybe when I'm 45, but even that won't be too late.

No it's not. I start from scratch at age 59. Decide what you want to do, set up a plan and establish your goals and what you want to achieve and GO for it. There will be days when you will wonder if it is worth it but I tell you they pass and in the end you will pick the fruit. Good Luck

My friend's father remarried when he was 85, his girlfriend was 42. They had a very happy marriage until he died ten years later. So it's never too late if you're happy and in love.

You are 40 not dead. When you are dead you'll be too late to do anything. As a side note, learning new things keeps your brain alert and healthy. And I mean constantly learning not just one time. I am 47 and I got an MBA a year ago, now I am learning German! PS I am not an "A" student, actually I am not a very good one but I push thru.

I can give you a real life example. My parents are getting divorced, because my dad is an asshole , as simple as that. But my mother decided that she will do things that she couldn't since she got married very young. At the moment she is 45 , completing her degree. It makes me very proud of her , she is my role model. So all i can say there,is no age limit , if you want to do it . Nothing can stop you including your age.. Do what makes you happy.

No, it isn't. It is never too late to start. KFC founder Colonel Sanders started the chain in his sixties and went to become one of the successful business man. Discuss your plans with some friends and take guidance, prepare a plan about what you want to do and how. All the best!

Not at all. Although there are a few things that are probably unlikely l.. such as taking up ballet or gymnastics .. or wanting to become a surgeon. Or, if a female, it is not a good age to START having children.
