religion doesnt cause suffering, nor does a particular god, its people who cause suffering they fight over religion, they fight over land, over whose right and wrong, no solution will ever come of fighting, a point scoring competition at a great cost, if the score is level all it takes is one movement to set the whole thing off again, that my friend is the game of life

If you consider the likely outcome that there is no 'god' then it's an easy response.

There is so much suffering because this is a war zone, and there are a lot of rotten people who hurt each other.

There is no "right" religion, there's following Jesus, or not.

Everyone has to die. It is the hallmark of this age, even Jesus had to die.

Good question, but flawed. The Creator doesn't cause suffering - that's our own doing. He allows it because when you have loss and hardship in this manner, you are able to rapidly grow into a spiritual maturity and develop your divine gifts, which would've lain dormant for much longer, had the circumstances in the suffering one's life, not awoken them to their deeper Truth. That's putting it in a nutshell.

GOD through out history has tried desperately to get our attention that HE is GOD and knew quite well what we would be up against for there are things far greater than our understanding,HE has sent the prophets to warn us but we did not listened,HE gave us the law to guide us but we trashed it,HE sent HIS only begotten SON to teach us and to die for us but we rejected HIM, GOD tried to do things the easy way but that did not work so now HE will do things the hard way.GOD will get our attention

A half a billion die every year from cancer, heart disease and strokes alone!

3 million die every year from starvation, drought and the diseases caused by it.

200,000 from natural disasters!

This god who Christians credit with creating and causing everything seems to love killing more people every second than the number of people that have ever been claimed to have been saved by his miracles!

Suffering is the result of attachment with temporary creations or result of having thinking that his role is truth. On the other hand, it is also due to loosing of peace of heart which is result of doing bad deeds or walking on the path of evils in past lives.

People show off that they are religious but what they are doing to earn money you need to do a research on it. For example, for money mankind started using chemicals to protect their fields from other species. When one walk on road and other species getting harmed or killed or hurt because of him is the kerma of that person, he must have to eat what he planted for himself because God made a law for the prisoners or residents of this world " what you will sow (your good and bad actions) shall you reap (getting its results accordingly). Even the family which you got is the result of your kerma.

Many holy book are truth according to spirituality, but there is no evidence of God made any religion. On the other hand there are many evidences that man created religions after knowing God is truth for his own convenience. No successful prophet, saint or God accepted any religion or recommended any religion to anyone. For conformation you can read your own holy book it is not written anywhere to follow any religion but saints or prophets pointed many wrong religions or communities. All holy books are pointing the path of getting enlightenment from successful persons or prophets who has attained the God which is the only way to get success.

I'll try to stick it into one sentence.

We are here to experience the Light (Consciousness seeking itself). We can be seeing it from the dark side, which only we see as a painful experience - an illusion created by our ego... The Universe - Source of Existence - is neutral. All beings, being not the Source itself, experience their own lessons...

The way our civilization sees it is existence being linear. Its spiral...

God does not have rules... We make them...

A VITAL ISSUE IS RAISED:

To find out why God allows suffering, we need to think back to the time when suffering began. When Satan led Adam and Eve into disobeying Jehovah, an important question was raised. Satan did not call into question Jehovah’s power. Even Satan knows that there is no limit to Jehovah’s power. Rather, Satan questioned Jehovah’s right to rule. By calling God a liar who withholds good from his subjects, Satan charged that Jehovah is a bad ruler. (Read Genesis 3:2-5.) Satan implied that mankind would be better off without God’s rulership. This was an attack on Jehovah’s sovereignty, his right to rule.

Adam and Eve rebelled against Jehovah. In effect, they said: ‘We do not need Jehovah as our Ruler. We can decide for ourselves what is right and what is wrong.’ How could Jehovah settle that issue? How could he teach all intelligent creatures that the rebels were wrong and that his way truly is best? Someone might say that God should simply have destroyed the rebels and made a fresh start. But Jehovah had stated his purpose to fill the earth with the offspring of Adam and Eve, and he wanted them to live in an earthly paradise. (Genesis 1:28) Jehovah always fulfills his purposes. (Isaiah 55:10, 11) Besides that, getting rid of the rebels in Eden would not have answered the question that had been raised regarding Jehovah’s right to rule.

Let us consider an illustration. Imagine that a teacher is telling his students how to solve a difficult problem. A clever but rebellious student claims that the teacher’s way of solving the problem is wrong. Implying that the teacher is not capable, this rebel insists that he knows a much better way to solve the problem. Some students think that he is right, and they also become rebellious. What should the teacher do? If he throws the rebels out of the class, what will be the effect on the other students? Will they not believe that their fellow student and those who joined him are right? All the other students in the class might lose respect for the teacher, thinking that he is afraid of being proved wrong. But suppose that the teacher allows the rebel to show the class how he would solve the problem.

Jehovah has done something similar to what the teacher does. Remember that the rebels in Eden were not the only ones involved. Millions of angels were watching. (Job 38:7; Daniel 7:10) How Jehovah handled the rebellion would greatly affect all those angels and eventually all intelligent creation. So, what has Jehovah done? He has allowed Satan to show how he would rule mankind. God has also allowed humans to govern themselves under Satan’s guidance.

The teacher in our illustration knows that the rebel and the students on his side are wrong. But he also knows that allowing them the opportunity to try to prove their point will benefit the whole class. When the rebels fail, all honest students will see that the teacher is the only one qualified to lead the class. They will understand why the teacher thereafter removes any rebels from the class. Similarly, Jehovah knows that all honesthearted humans and angels will benefit from seeing that Satan and his fellow rebels have failed and that humans cannot govern themselves. Like Jeremiah of old, they will learn this vital truth: “I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.”—Jeremiah 10:23.
