Changing college major?

Im going into my second semester of college & this upcoming week will be the second week. I am majoring in computer programming, im good at fixing computers & other stuff BUT main reason I am majoring in computers is because the money is good. I love to draw, im a artist at heart..so i didn't know my college had a graphic design & prepress course until the end of my lat semester, i never thought to change my major during registration for this semester because things around me were so hetic during that time. I really want to change my major to Desgin Media Production Technology, im so miserable in my computer classes & realized..it wanst what I really wanted. I wanted to ask, what changes my happen when changing my major? Would i get a new schedule?..like what is the process like?..i know all collges are diffrent but i would love some imput from someone who's been through it, because I may take action this week.

It's not really a big deal. You go talk to your adviser and you fill out a form. You withdraw from any classes that aren't needed for the new major, and you register for other classes that are. Get it done quickly, this week. The longer you wait the harder it will be to catch up in your new classes.

Any of your GenEd requirements will be the same for any major, so most of your classes won't need to be changed.
