Are praying Christians like gambling addicts in that they never talk about their losses?

I think if they understood the nature of prayer, they would understand why some manifest and some don't.
Desire, wish and expectation....basically those are energy movers.
They may believe "god did it", but ultimately anything one desires, with enough strength of emotion added to...will occur.
Sometimes it takes years, other times it happens in a blink of an eye. Thy will be done.
It's not quite like that. They don't actually have the capacity to conceive of losses.
Christian prays for rain the next day. It rains the next day. "God heard my prayer!"
Christian prays for rain the next day. It does not rain the next day. "God is telling me that my wish for rain was un-necessary!"
Christian prays for sick person. Sick person gets better thanks to medical science. "God healed the sick person!"
Christian prays for sick person. Sick person does not get better. "The doctors are probably atheists, so God can not work through them!"
You get the idea. They are so totally blinkered and indoctrinated that they actually can't perceive anything as a possible failure of, or disproval of, their fantasies.
NB note that Siloam Tech has just demonstrated my point perfectly.
Christians have no losses . Despite what happens here on earth, we gain eternal life with our creator, Lord, and Savior.
It is simple. By the way they define loss. When they pray, God either says "yes", "no", or "not now".
Since those are the only possible three outcomes, it is impossible to lose.
It is a bit like guessing that another person is either your age, older than you, or younger than you.
Make that guess, and you never lose!
Christianity isn't an addiction/disease.
You are making a point based on an opinion of Christianity.
Do you always pass quotes off as your own. I almost never do.
Saturday is the Feast of St Monica who prayed for 20 years for the conversion of her son despite people like you in her life that wanted to discourage her. All she wanted was for him to marry the woman he was living with. What she got was THE PILLAR OF THE CHURCH.
Except a praying christian not loosing anything but gains.
Atheists are addicted for life to God and christianity

the only reason we exist is to promote our selfish genes
when we die, that's it”
