how to act around someone who rejected you?

I asked one of my really close friends out and she said no, we always hang out and she said she still wants to be friends so how do I act around her now?

Why do you have to "act"? I know it is no fun being rejected but the reason she declined a date with you is because she's not attracted to you in that way.
For female, most of us have to feel some "spark" and attraction toward a guy before we will accept a date. If we don't, we don't.... attraction is all about human sex pheromones, and it's not personal. We are either attracted or we are not. Can't invent attraction.
If you consider it, you are not attracted to everyone in this way, either, right? And i'll be honest, i have been attracted to someone who didn't feel the same way before. It's just the way of life. Not personal against you or me.
Just carry on with the friendship as always.
