How to keep mice out of your room?!?

I had a mouse in my room and everyone was sleeping so I couldn't get my dad to help me. I waited for it to run out on it's own and now I've closed my door shut and piled boxes so it can't crawl under, (idk if they can do that but I'm paranoid). I have a few mousetraps in my room and I don't eat/have food in my room. I do have lots of furniture with places for mice to hide though so I think that causes them to come in more. What are other things I can do to keep mice away? I heard that mice don't like the smell of peppermint but I'm not sure if that's true.

Try using more traps. They are attracted to peanut butter so putting it on traps might make it more effective.

Trust me, if a mouse wants to get into your room, it is getting in.
Get a couple of those electronic rodent repellers, they work quite well for mice or rats.
No traps, no mess, no relocating, just no mice.

There are mouse traps available in the store. There are those that are sticky paper, but I'll warn you that I heard a dire story about a mouse getting caught and pulled itself free but skinning it in the process. It was evident in the ratskin that got caught.

But regardless of these traps, the best thing is to keep your room clean and free from crumbs.
