Help and answer check...?
1. If f(theta) = tan theta = 3 find f(theta + pi)
I have looked up on various HW sites and found the answer to be -1
2. If f(theta) = cos theta = 0.3 find f(theta + pi)
the answer results to 0.9
how do I solve those two? I am just learning about pre-calculus and just learned to use this equation sin(theta)*cos(pi) + cos(theta)*sin(pi)
any help will do and thanks!!

What's "f(theta) = tan theta = 3 " ??
rules
tan(x+pi)=tan(x)
cos(x+pi)=-cosx
1. sorry ... if f(Θ) = tan Θ ≡ tan ( Θ + π)....period of tangent is π
2.again if f(Θ) = cos Θ then f (Θ + π ) = - cos Θ...and your last is sin ( Θ + π ) ≡ - sin Θ...
hint : look at the unit circle...points are ( cos 'angle' , sin ' angle ' )
