why do people like to eat cheese with wine?

im 16 lol so i wouldn't know but I'm just rly curious. I've tasted a bit of wine before and it's gross and bitter. I've also tried some of the cheeses they would use with the wine and its all pasty sometimes and hangs on your tongue. What's enjoyable about any of this??? Just curious.

They taste good together. Maybe not to you, but to many people.

Its odd but as you get older, your tastes change and I am still not a huge wine drinker but the combination is pretty good, stout cheeses with the sweet wines just taste well together

Try different wine and cheese. I hate bitter wine and much prefer sweet wines with a nice zesty cheese. Fruit though tends to go better with a slightly bitter wine as it brings out the sweetness of the fruit
