Can I get my Associates degree in one field then Bachelor's in another?

I want to study law and the colleges I am looking into have a program for an Associates in paralegals, but I would also be interested in business management which they have a program for a bachelor's degree. Since I would study law both would work with each other especially if I could work as a corporate lawyer. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I tried looking online and people say they have to go together because it'd be impossible to find a job where both would be useful, but in this case it would but I'm not sure if it's even possible.

Yes, you can absolutely do that.
The idea of "pre-" programs (pre-med, pre-law) at community colleges, or associate degrees in a given field, is to make sure you are adequately prepared to continue in that course of study when you transfer to a four-year school. If you change course when you transfer, you may be lacking a few courses that the four-year school would expect you to have... but you CAN take those classes at the four-year school...

You can switch majors at any time... but that may mean that you will need to take additional courses, and that some of the courses you have already taken won't apply to your newly-chosen degree plan. But that's okay.

By the way, you do not NEED an associate degree to transfer to a four-year school. You can transfer after one semester, after one year, or without an associate degree. As I said, the degree programs are set up to prepare you properly... but you are not required to follow that path unless the four-year school program expressly requires it.

The short answer is yes. An AA degree in paralegal studies might enable you to be a paralegal, but you still need to get a Bachelor's degree, take the LSAT, apply to law school, graduate and pass the bar in order to be a lawyer. There is no specific required Bachelor's degree major for pre-law. A student can major is business, history, biology, or whatever they choose as long as the take the required course work required by law schools and do well on the LSAT>
