Why do people say to have 2 kids than one. Just bcoz the 1st kid would be bored or some other reason?

Having two kids means that someone is going to be the favorite. There is no such thing as equal love. Better to ne an only. I have a nig brother and he hates me to this day because my parents played favorites. Hes 61. Im 48 and we havent spoken in close to 20 years

i only have one adult child but i wish sometimes he had a brother or sister so that he would have someone to share me with. i hate to think of him worrying alone if i suffer from dementia or other serious problem.

It takes two kids to make up the foot prints of you and your spouse's when you both die. It's about population replacement, this is why you must teach your kids everything you know so they can replace your spot on this planet when you die, and then it's their obligation to have kids of their own and the pattern repeats. It's science. Yes, kids have better social skills when they have siblings close in age to them, that's also science. These are not opinions.

I actually think two kids makes things allot more difficult. Most of the time it doesn't reduce boredom - it just brings more trouble as many siblings fight.
