Here in Dallas, there have been cases in which wild dogs have attacked people and in one case, killed a woman. The City Council has given permission for police officers to shoot wild dogs who are vicious and are not tagged as belonging to anyone. These animals are not your tame, domesticated pet-type dogs They are large and vicious, and they are terrorizing neighborhoods. There sill has to be police reports written up when these shooting incidents take place. In those neighborhoods, officers wear body cameras to document what is being done.

I think cops lack training on this.
For most it's 'shoot first, ask later'.
Too many reports of dogs being shot while restrained in my view.
