How do I stop these scam phone calls on my home phone?

The security on hers sucks, why make it so hard?

Also another question;


I am getting long distance on my caller id & scared to pick up for fear of being charged. Why doesn't someone do something about these spam calls & these computer techs who seem to want money, Why not make it so these people who scam us [phone or computer] get traced & the phone or computer gets destroyed?
