Wonder if AVG can remove vieus?

AVG will remove a boot sector virus if you use the emergency AVG boot rescue disk which can be downloaded from here

an off-line scanner ie one you boot a clean os and run from either a cd or usb stick, or trendmicro are really active in other ways to scan for threats see other link.
