Do Phen Caps actually work for weight loss?

I went to my Physician to try phentermine as two ladies I work with have lost over fifty pounds on phentermine and he would not prescribe it because my BMI is at a 27 and you need a 28. How frustrating is that!! I'm hoping to hear good weight loss stories or suggestions NO SCAMS or Soliciting! Thanks!

No, it has been banned in many countries because it can cause heart attacks and death
It is only ever prescribed to people who are morbidly obese and who other drugs have not worked for. It is a last resort that comes with so many harmful side effects that many doctors won't even prescribe it at all, even for the most obese

No, they are dangerous and can't be prescribed in the U.S.
