Since there are over 3000 colleges & universities in the US, you need to start your research by buying a copy of a good general guidebook. E.g. Barron's Guide to US Colleges & Universities is well known & widely available. There are thousands of books available on amazon, etc, detailing info on schools & how to apply, TOEFL exam preparation guides, SAT & ACT exam preparation guides, even books on how to write a good personal essay for college admissions.
First, average cost of 4-year bachelor's degree in US for Americans is USD250,000. Foreign students always have expenses citizens do not incur. The minimum is going to be proof of at least USD50,000/year to apply for a student visa, IF you are accepted by one of the lower-cost schools in a low-cost area of the US. For more expensive schools in high-cost cities, foreign students are burning through as much as USD100,000/year! If you & your parents don't have that kind of cash, investments, etc, available for your education expenses + return transportation to your country of citizenship, don't waste $5000 or so on expenses to apply for admission (application fees, test preparation & testing fees, transcript fees & official translations, independent evaluation of high school transcripts such as WES, etc.).
You also need to do research online. NO way to provide so much info in a short post! That's why there are thousands of books written on the subject!
