How to cope with death?

I'm no older than 19 but I've never experienced a death in the family and my grandfather will leave us in the next couple of days, I wanted to know how you coped with someone dying.

If someone has had a full life and has a good attitude about facing death, it's much easier to accept. Watching a child or a spouse horribly burned by a car accident dying of an infection is God awful. Death can be a release.

When my grandmother died, I wrote poems. Lots of them. She was a Christian, so if they're right she's in a happier place now anyway.

The best way is to talk about it. If you can't talk to your immediate family, please talk to a friend or a counselor. I'm sorry for your situation.
