How to get $200 in 8 months?
My friend invited me on a trip, and they said they will pay for everything but my plane ticket. The cost is around $200.

Get a small job and stop using your money when you are out.
Assuming you're not very old, I'd say 14 or so, you won't be able to get a regular job. You might be able to get a paper route. Otherwise, you can ask your neighbors (with your pparents permission) if they have any chores you can do for money. Or go on Craigslist look at the lost pets section and look for the pets with a cash reward and go find them.
What can you sell on eBay? What odds jobs can you work? Can you ask your family to make this cash you Christmas and birthday presents for this year?
That's under a dollar a day. Get some grubby clothes and panhandle for 10 minutes a day.
I have youngsters up here doing odd jobs, like mowing, sweeping, watering etc. To get enough money for a Scout Jamboree. All they needed was $250, and they have surpassed that amount. Even my neighbors jumped on board, and let me tell you this. The work these kids did as been excellent.
Two of them were girls.
8 months is approximately 32 weeks. $200 divided by 32 is $6.25.
(But you should save up the money so that you can purchase the airline ticket asap).
Also, you should save extra money for souvenirs, etc.
Save any allowance you get.
Ask your parents if you can do EXTRA chores around the home to earn some money.
Give up something you enjoy and put the money toward this trip. For instance, if you go to the movies each week, skip it and put the money you would have spent on the ticket toward the trip.
Work. You can babysit, walk dogs, wash cars, rake leaves, shovel snow, mow lawns, etc.
