Please help with PC case fans?
Okay, so I recently built a PC and the case fan I was using started making a squeaking noise periodically. I did some research and found out that my fan was (probably) faulty. So I replaced it with my spare one, which was the exact same fan, just another copy, and now this one is making a grinding noise. Is it likely that ,though they are making 2 different noises, both of them are faulty and need to be replaced? Thank you so much for your time!

check if something is touching with fan or something inside the fan is touching
When a fan bearing goes bad it can start squeaking, when it goes really bad the fan will start to vibrate, making a more growly noise.
Even the cheapest chinese fans should have a half decent ball bearing, try turning your PC on with the fans unmounted, if they make noise, then I don't know what to tell you, maybe some silicone spray may work..
If the fans don't make weird noises while unmounted, I would say that the fans were grinding against the case. Try going to the hardware store and buying some rubber washers, then sandwiching the washers between the case and fan. This should give the fans ample clearance and absorb some vibrations
Most fans are mounted with a 7/32 screw by the way.
Sounds like you have some cheap and nasty fans.
