I got fired from my last job because I got into a car accident and I wasn't able to perform the same work duties because of my injuries. They thought I wasn't a good fit for the company anymore so I got fired.
Also, I don't know if this matters but my boss told me I got promoted and promised me a set schedule but it never happened. I was still doing the same thing with the same schedule. Can that be help me get unemployment? Do you think I qualify? I'm still looking for work btw.
Can I collect unemployment benefits?

It i going to vary based on the state laws in the state you are in. All you can do is file for it and find out.

You need to file for unemployment right away. There's a waiting period starting the day you file. It will not back date to the day you were let go. Even if you don't get it, it is best to file immediately.
