Should I breed ferrets?

I live in Australia and where I live ferrets are in high demand. I had to drive 2 hours to get mine and the man who sold them to me said that most of his customers came from where I live. Only one pet shop near me sells them and they sold out very quickly. I'm planning to get a girl ferret soon and I don't know if I should breed ferrets or not because I've read things saying that it is cruel to breed animals but a lot of people want them. I only have one boy at the moment who isn't desexed

I would research it well. My understanding is that ferrets are not easy to breed. Jills MUST be bred when they go into heat, or they will die. However, there is also the risk of death during pregnancy or birth. There are many complications that can occour during pregnancy, birth and even after.
"high demand" doesnt always mean that you will yield a profit either. Breeding often only covers the expenses of keeping the animals

You really need to research this, many females die from complications.
