How did John Locke's ideas contribute to society?

He tried to have a lock on our ideas but the Rousseau messed it all up with some newer stupider ones

It helped to increase the bonds of relationship so that citizens can strive for universal peace,universal happiness, universal welfare and universal prosperity. That was John Locke's ultimate aim, goal or objective in life.
