Why is the movie "haunting in Connecticut" given that name?

According to this website, the real people that the story was supposed to be based on, moved to a house in Connecticut for the time their son was being treated for cancer.

The first movie was based off a real story that was in CT. I thought the movie said that it was in CT, but honestly can't remember it's been so long.
