The pH of the blood plasma of a certain animal is 7.2. Find the hydronium ion concentration, [H3O^+], of the blood plasma.

Use this formula pH= -log[H30^+].

(Use scientific notation. Use the multiplication symbol in the math palette as needed. Round to the nearest tenth as needed.)

pH = -log[H₃O⁺]

When pH = 7.2 :
-log[H₃O⁺] = 7.2
log[H₃O⁺] = -7.2
Then, [H₃O⁺] = 10⁻⁷·² = 6.3 × 10⁻⁸ M
