Why would you name a dog you don't even have yet and may never get?

I would have to be with her for several weeks to find a proper name that would suit her. I don't just attach a name to an animal until I have got to know it & its behavior. Not any name will do. It has to be special & unique to the individual dog.

You can name the dog ANYTHING you want. It's doesn't have to have anything to do with the military, since they are not exclusive dogs of war or exculsively police dogs. Heck, even labradors, beagles and APBT's work for the PD, so do Bloodhounds.

Name the dog something that will MAKE you happy. And yes, it can even be a girly name.

NO, there are virtually NO FEMALE or feminine MILITARY names & Germans do not have MORE to do w/ the military, than any other country. Some GSD owners use Germanic names and there are books like, "German names for German Dogs", so you COULD choose to go THERE if you want to but many people simply give the dog a NORMAL name.
