i cant tell the difference between implantation and my period please help?

implant bleeding tends to be a very light shade of red sometimes a dark brown because its your body getting rid of the old blood it doesn't tend to be very heavy it could just be a few drops to it only filling a sanitary towel or tampon a little bit and tends to not even last a day where as your period will last 5 to 7 days be a dark red and not stop you'll need to change your sanitary towel every 2 hours or your tampon if it is a period you'd know because a implantation bleed doesn't actually use as much blood as a period needs considering your period is your cervix opening to let out the egg that wasn't fertlised implant bleeding being your cervix letting out a little as it starts to plug its self up so that the baby can start growing and not get any infections during its development
