On the face of it, this slogan makes a lot of sense, and gets a lot of sympathy.

However, it has become code for some very radical forces. Important elections are coming up, so it's vital to find out candidates' positions on significant issues, look up their records, and be careful not to automatically believe inflammatory propaganda, even if it seems to agree with your own feelings.

What further changes would you like to see, that will advance respect and prosperity for black people? Study some recent history, contrast it with stuff from sixty years ago, and figure out what worked well and what didn't. The black middle class has grown a great deal since those days.

Your broad generalizations about Republican activities sound just as prejudiced as some of the worst rhetoric from white racists. However, the Republicans' officially stated positions are really alien to my way of thinking, so I won't be voting Republican this year. I'm not going to hide behind "Anonymous" on this issue.

I can understand that there are many emotion-filled issues that really need to be fixed. Please pay attention to the black leaders who are quietly and expeditiously getting this done.

Yes they do and they matter more now then they ever have before. Republican governors and senators across America are implementing legislation on purpose that will keep black Americans oppressed and in poverty. Republicans put their full support behind racist white law enforcement, because they know that they will commit acts of violence against people of color. There has never been a tougher time in the history of America to be an African American.
