My (mostly) Cocker Spaniel kicks her legs when she is scratched in various spots,eg:belly,insde of ear,bottom of food. Why?

She used to kick her legs when having her belly rubbed as a puppy, she also sometimes kicks her legs when the bottom of her foot or the inside of her ear is itched. Does anyone know why this is?

Most dogs do this, perfectly normal, it's their way of showing it feels good.

You've found the 'tickly spot(s)' BUT if what's going on is new, it might be worth having your vet take a look - ear infection?
