The balanced equation is :
2C₂H₆0 + 7O₂ → 4CO₂ + 6H₂O
OR: mole ratio C₂H₆0 : CO₂ = 2 : 4

No. of moles of C₂H₆0 = 70.3 mol
No. of moles of CO₂ = (70.3 mol) × (4/2) = 140.6 mol ≈ 140 mol

...... The answer is : A. 140

You need to balance the equation first for ONE mole of ethanol
C2H60+3O2-->2CO2+3H2O

Now it should be clear to you that ONE mole of ethanol produces 2 moles of CO2. Work it out from that.

C2H6O + 3O2 ---------> 3CO2 + 3H2O

1 mole of C2H6O gives 3 moles of CO2

so 70.3 moles of C2H6O will give 3 X 70.3 = 210.9 moles of CO2

so answer is B
