Falling hard for this guy help?

I'm trying to get to know other guys, be attracted to others n make myself get over this one guy. The guy I fell for we were gonna be hook up buddies, but then I started feeling happy and pretty again with him. I decided to back off really quickly becuse I knew he didn't like me like that. But then he gives mixed signals n checks me out everytime I look nice. Idk what to do

I have a guy friend like this, too... we have been seeing each other off and on for five years, and communicating and sometimes going out to eat, hiking etc. I have been avoiding seeing him for a while now, but I still hear from him often. I'm a bit emotionally attached to him which is why i've been avoiding seeing him, but i have this feeling it's not over. I can't seem to resist him. It's all about sexual chemistry for me. But he's not "available" - single for life it seems, which i have accepted

I am also putting myself out there and dating other people. I figure eventually i will meet someone i like as well, if not better.
