Actual volume of watercan be measured by measuring its mass and density.
We know that the relation
density = mass/volume
volume = mass/density
Foe example the volume of the 1000 kg of water is equal to 1000 liters
volume = mass/density
volume = 1000 kg/1000kg/ m^3
volume = m^3
= (1000)^3
= 10^3 (10^3 cm^3)
volume = 1000 (liters)
Temperature doesn't show any effect. Because at 4^0 C its volume is 1000 liters and density is 1000 kg/m^3
At 100^0 C its volume is 1000 liters and density is 958 kg/m^3

It depends on how much water you have.

For example, in my kitchen sink, there's approximately 2.6 litres of water; in Lake Erie there's approximately 480,000,000,000,000 litres of water.

If the container is totally full , then the volume of water equals the volume of the container

The actual volume of water is the volume it occupies in the container.
