How easy is it to make a leather skirt?

Even with a elastic waist band you will have more than two pattern pieces.
And you can not use an elastic waistband with leather, it is too thick to gather up. It wouldn't lay very well. You will have at least three pieces for the skirt and one to four pieces for the waistband. And you will need to put in a zipper.

If you've never made a skirt before, leather is not the way to start. No, it's not as easy as two pieces of leather sewn on the sides, unless you're going for the Tarzan look.

I really like minuscule skirts and the true way i fix it being brief is leggings and colored tights. Not the methods with holes but the ones that just about appear to be leggings but are obviously tights because of the material.

it's difficult, it doesn't stretch, you need a certain kind of needle and presser foot for your sewing machine, you can't correct a mistake, there is no sewn hem (you'd fold it over and glue it), the pieces have to match all the same way or else the nap will go up and down and won't look good, etc.

It should be fairly straightforward just as long as you have the right presser foot on your machine. Or if you are doing it by hand, you need a special needle that will sew through leather. The presser foot needs to be one that can handle heavier material along with gliding freely without getting caught up in the feed dogs.

If you are using 2-6 ounce garment weight soft leather and if you are using needles designed for sewing leather in your machine then yes, it is super easy to sew leather. The needle is very important: it has a special chisel shaped point that cuts through leather so your machine doesn't have to work as hard. You can't un-pick and resew seams, once a needle hole is in leather it's there forever so sew your skirt in scrap fabric first to test and perfect the fit. Once you are satisfied with the fit you can cut and sew your leather.
