Do people with epilepsy have more or less seizures during a full moon? Or does the full moon have no effect on seizures?

I have read that seizure in epileptics are less common on a full moon but I have also read that they are more common on a full moon so what one of these are correct?

There is no known effect of the full moon on seizures. This is just an urban legend.

The full moon is the subject of a lot of myths and hoaxes- it seems to relate a bit to human psychology and culture, possibly because in the past it was the main source of light at night and might have kept some predators active into the night. But either way, people often think that strange things happen on a full moon, but most of these beliefs have no scientific credibility.

For instance, emergency services often believe they get more calls on a full moon, or more people come into hospital, etc. However, if you look at the numbers, there is no difference in the number of calls.
