Anyone know how to fix this phone situation?

I dropped my phone from about waist height. As I picked it up and turned it over to view the front, I noticed you can only see a small portion of the screen. The upper portion of the phone can be viewed, but the rest is black and cannot be seen. The phone still works, messages and other notifications can be received, but I can't unlock the phone due to the black screen. Is there any way I can fix this problem?

You'll have to take the phone to a local phone repair shop. They can tell you what's wrong and how much it'll cost to fix it. The problem will not go away on its own.

if the phone is not cracked then its probably the screen cables

You'll need to get the display replaced. Depending on the phone, it can be quite expensive as user damage isn't covered by the warranty.
