Calculate the wavelength of the line in the hydrogen spectrum corresponding to the electron transition from n = 5 to n = 2. Whereabouts in the electromagnetic spectrum does this line occur?

By Rydbery equation :
1/λ = R[(1/n₁²) - (1/n₂²)]
1/λ = (1.097 × 10⁷ /m) × [(1/2²) - (1/5²)]
Wavelength, λ = 4.34 × 10⁻⁷ m = 434 × 10⁻⁹ m = 434 nm

As the line corresponding to the transition to n = 2, it is in Balmer series.
